The Office of the Vice President (OVP) successfully distributed PagbaBAGo bags in Trece Martires City, Cavite, as part of the PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees Campaign.
For many learners in Southville, a school bag is more than just a container for books; it is a shield against the rain and a toolbox for a brighter future.
The Office of the Vice President (OVP) recently brought its flagship PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees Campaign to Trece Martires, distributing school bags and essential supplies to a total of 1,227 students across the city.
Empowering a Relocation Community
Southville Elementary School serves 301 learners from the city’s relocation area. In a community where every peso counts, parents work hard to keep up with the daily needs of the school year.
By this time of the year, school supplies often run low, and the cost of replenishing them for final projects can add up quickly. The OVP’s PagbaBAGo campaign aims to ease this worry for parents, ensuring that students have exactly what they need to finish the school year strong.
Restoring Confidence in the Classroom
Each PagbaBAGo bag contains notebooks, writing materials, coloring sets, and a raincoat. The distribution also included dental kits to promote oral hygiene—a vital yet often overlooked component of a child’s overall welfare.
School Principal Dr. Adessa Artatez noted that the lack of basic supplies has a direct toll on a child’s spirit. Before this initiative, many students struggled with low class participation due to a lack of resources, which hampered their academic performance.
Maraming salamat po sa ating Vice President,” (Thank you, the school bags and school supplies are a great help to the learners. Thank you, Vice President), Dr. Artatez said.
A Growing Impact
The campaign reached 1,227 learners in Trece Martires, providing critical support to the following schools:
* Trece Martires Elementary School: 558 learners
* Lapidario Elementary School: 368 learners
* Southville Elementary School: 301 learners
Planting Seeds for the Future
True to the campaign’s holistic approach, the OVP also looked toward environmental sustainability. With the help of teachers and volunteers, 100 fruit-bearing trees—including calamansi, chico, and rambutan—were planted within the premises of Trece Martires Elementary School.
This green initiative aims to teach students the value of environmental stewardship while providing a future source of nourishment and shade for the campus.
Through the PagbaBAGo campaign, the Office of the Vice President remains a steady partner for every Filipino family. Our goal is simple: to make sure that no child—regardless of where they live—is ever held back from reaching their dreams.

Trece Martires Elementary School – 558 mag-aaral
Lapidario Elementary School – 368 mag-aaral
Southville Elementary School – 301 mag-aaral
