The Office of the Vice President – Bangsamoro Autononous Region in Muslim Mindanao Satellite Office (OVP-BARMM SO) continues its partnership with the Dr. Serapio Montaner Jr. Alhaj Memorial Hospital— a healthcare institution established in the 1980s and known across the province for its modern facilities and high-quality medical services located in the municipality of Malabang, Lanao del Sur.
The hospital is among the 17 health facilities in BARMM that have partnered with the OVP in delivering free medical services to underserved communities. Over the years, this partnership has proven vital in addressing the healthcare needs of residents in the region.
For healthcare workers like nurses Jaime Dineros and Hedjara Macabago, the presence of OVP’s programs in BARMM, particularly medical assistance, has been a significant development.
“Our institution chose to partner with OVP because of its strong commitment to inclusive, compassionate, and transparent public service,” said Nurse Macabago.
In addition to Nurse Macabago, Nurse Dineros also stated that; “The most significant beneficiaries of the program were members of the indigent sector —since that was our purpose, to give service especially those to the poor.”
During a recent visit, hospital staff gave a glimpse of their soon-to-open dialysis facility, a new addition to their services aimed at providing more comprehensive care for patients with chronic kidney conditions.
The hospital also extended its gratitude to Vice President Sara Z. Duterte for her continued support of the Moro community, especially in providing healthcare assistance that reaches even the most remote areas in BARMM.
As the collaboration between the OVP and Dr. Serapio Montaner Jr. Alhaj Memorial Hospital continues, both institutions remain committed to their shared mission: to ensure that quality healthcare is accessible to all — regardless of geography, status, or belief.

“Our institution chose to partner with OVP because of its strong commitment to inclusive, compassionate, and transparent public service,” pahayag ni Nurse Macabago.
The most significant beneficiaries of the program were members of the indigent sector —since that was our purpose, to give service especially those to the poor.”
