The Fish Vendors Association of Bacolod City has formally received ₱150,000 in capital assistance from the Office of the Vice President (OVP) through its Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day (MTD) program.
The association, composed of more than 100 members, is the latest beneficiary of the MTD initiative in the Panay and Negros Islands of Western Visayas.
Following the ceremonial turnover of the livelihood grant, OVP representatives joined the group in purchasing assorted fish for retail sale, helping boost their operations.
In Occidental Mindoro, the Women’s Mobile Vendors Association from Barangay Buenavista in Sablayan also received capital support from the OVP.
The group, composed of street vendors, aims to establish new food hub stalls that will not only provide affordable meals to the community but also create additional job opportunities.
Both groups expressed their gratitude to the OVP and Vice President Sara Duterte for their trust and support in strengthening community-based enterprises.
The MTD program continues to assist small-scale entrepreneurs across the country by providing seed capital, training, and opportunities to sustain and expand their livelihood.

Binubuo ng mahigit 100 miyembro, ang asosasyon ang pinakabagong benepisyaryo ng MTD initiative sa Panay at Negros Islands sa Western Visayas.
Matapos ang seremonyal na turnover ng livelihood grant, sinamahan ng mga kinatawan ng OVP ang grupo sa pamimili ng iba’t ibang klase ng isda para sa kanilang pagtitinda, na magpapalakas pa sa kanilang kabuhayan.
Sa Occidental Mindoro, nakatanggap din ng tulong-puhunan mula sa OVP ang Women’s Mobile Vendors Association ng Barangay Buenavista sa Sablayan.
