Beneficiaries of OVP Thanksgiving in Southern Mindanao.
In celebration of the 89th anniversary of the Office of the Vice President (OVP), the OVP Southern Mindanao Satellite Office (SMSO) conducted a Thanksgiving Activity in Marilog District, Davao City, and Municipality of Talakag, Bukidnon.
The office distributed a total of 2,750 gift packs to solo parents, farmers, indigent families and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
“Nalipay kami og dako nga adunay programa si Vice President Sara Duterte na naghatag ug mga kaayuhan diin daghan pa gyud na mga benepisyo ang iyahang gihatag,” (We are very pleased that Vice President Sara Duterte has a program that provides numerous benefits, offering even more advantages to the people,) Delia Lopez, a beneficiary said.
Meanwhile, OVP SMSO also visited two barangays in Cagayan de Oro City namely, Brgy. Dansolihon and Brgy. Carmen and distributed a total of 1,700 gift packs to former rebels and streetsweepers.
The gift packs provided contained of 10 kilograms of rice and canned goods.
In total, 4,450 gift packs were distributed.
The OVP celebrates its founding anniversary every 15th day of November each year and one of the activities of the office is to conduct this activity to serve every Filipinos.
Nagsagawa ang Office of the Vice President Southern Mindanao Satellite Office (OVP SMSO) ng Thanksgiving Activity sa Marilog District, Lungsod ng Davao, at Munisipalidad ng Talakag, Bukidnon bilang bahagi sa pagdiriwang ng ika-89 na anibersaryo ng Opisina.
Namahagi ang OVP SMSO ng kabuuang 2,750 gift packs para sa mga solo parents, magsasaka, indigent families, at mga persons with disabilities (PWDs).
“Nalipay kami og dako nga adunay programa si Vice President Sara Duterte na naghatag ug mga kaayuhan diin daghan pa gyud na mga benepisyo ang iyahang gihatag,” (Lubos kaming natutuwa na may programa si Pangalawang Pangulo Sara Duterte na nagbibigay ng maraming benepisyo at tulong sa mga tao,) wika ni Delia Lopez, isa sa mga benepisyaryo.
Samantala, namahagi rin ng kabuuang 1,700 gift packs para sa mga dating rebelde at street sweepers ang OVP SMSO sa dalawang barangay sa Cagayan de Oro, partikular sa Brgy. Dansolihon at Brgy. Carmen.
Ang mga gift pack ay naglalaman ng 10 kilong bigas at mga canned goods.
Sa kabuuan, 4,450 gift packs ang naipamahagi ng opisina.
Ipinagdiriwang ng OVP ang anibersaryo ng pagkakatatag nito tuwing ika-15 ng Nobyembre bawat taon, at isa sa mga aktibidad nito ay ang magsagawa ng mga ganitong programa upang makapaglingkod sa bawat Pilipino.
