The Office of the Vice President (OVP) launched a thanksgiving activity in the town of Dulag, Leyte in Eastern Visayas, led by the OVP-Eastern Visayas Satellite Office.
This initiative is part of the celebration of the Office’s 89th anniversary where thousands of beneficiaries from different sectors, such as solo parents, vendors, fisherfolks, drivers, and farmers, participated from the said activity.
Each gift pack distributed contains ten kilograms of rice and canned goods.
Residents expressed their joy as they received the humble gift from the OVP.
“Vice President, ako po ay nagpapasalamat at nagbigay kayo ng pamasko. Salamat po sa kaunting tulong niyo, malaki na ito sa amin dahil mahirap ang buhay dito sa bayan namin,” (Vice President, thank you for giving us Christmas gifts. Thank you for your this present; it means a lot to us in these trying times,) Nilo Palajaro, a tricycle driver said.
In total, more than 1,000 OVP food packs were distributed by the Office of the Vice President Eastern Visayas in the town of Dulag, Leyte.
Naglunsad ang Office of the Vice President (OVP) ng Thanksgiving Activity sa bayan ng Dulag, Leyte sa Rehiyon ng Eastern Visayas, na pinangunahan ng OVP-Eastern Visayas Satellite Office.
Ang inisyatibang ito ay bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng ika-89 na anibersaryo ng OVP, kung saan libu-libong benepisyaryo mula sa iba't ibang sektor, tulad ng mga solo parent, mga vendor, mangingisda, drayber, at magsasaka, ang dumalo at nakibahagi sa aktibidad.
Ang bawat gift pack na ipinamahagi ay naglalaman ng sampung kilong bigas at mga de-latang pagkain.
Ipinahayag ng mga residente ang kanilang kasiyahan nang matanggap ang simpleng biyaya mula sa OVP.
"Vice President, ako po ay nagpapasalamat at nagbigay kayo ng pamasko. Salamat po sa kaunting tulong niyo, malaki na ito sa amin dahil mahirap ang buhay dito sa bayan namin," pahayag ni Nilo Palajaro, isang tricycle driver.
Sa kabuuan, mahigit 1,000 na OVP food packs ang ipinamahagi ng Office of the Vice President Eastern Visayas sa bayan ng Dulag, Leyte.
