The Office of the Vice President – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Satellite Office (OVP-BARMM SO) extended vital food assistance to 450 families in Maguindanao del Norte and Cotabato City through its Relief for Indigent and Individuals in Crises and Emergencies (RIICE) Program.
The Office of the Vice President - Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Satellite Office (OVP-BARMM SO) recently distributed food assistance to 450 families in Maguindanao del Norte and Cotabato City through its Relief for Indigent and Individuals in Crises and Emergencies (RIICE) Program.
Among the beneficiaries were 250 internally displaced farmers from Barangay Norte, Matanog, Maguindanao del Norte following military intervention in Mt. Makaturing.
A similar activity was conducted in Barangay Poblacion 9, Cotabato City, where over 200 families received food bags containing rice and canned goods.
The distribution was made possible through the partnership between OVP-BARMM SO and the local government of Matanog and Barangay Poblacion 9.
The initiative aimed to provide immediate relief to residents facing economic hardship.
The RIICE Program is part of the OVP’s continuing efforts to assist Filipinos affected by crises and emergencies, ensuring that vulnerable communities have access to basic food supplies during challenging times.

Kamakailan ay namahagi ng food assistance ang Office of the Vice President- Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Satellite Office (OVP-BARMM SO) sa kabuuang 450 pamilya sa Maguindanao del Norte at Lungsod ng Cotabato sa pamamagitan ng Relief for Indigent and Individuals in Crises and Emergencies (RIICE) Program.
Kabilang sa mga nakatanggap ang 250 magsasakang lumikas mula Barangay Norte, Matanog, Maguindanao del Norte matapos ang operasyong militar sa Mt. Makaturing.
Isinagawa rin ang kaparehong aktibidad sa Barangay Poblacion 9, Lungsod ng Cotabato, kung saan mahigit 200 pamilya ang nabigyan ng food bags na may lamang bigas at de-lata.
Naging posible ang pamamahagi sa pamamagitan ng pakikipagtulungan ng OVP-BARMM sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Matanog at Barangay Poblacion 9.
Layunin ng inisyatiba na maghatid ng agarang tulong sa mga residenteng nakararanas ng matinding suliraning pang-ekonomiya.
