The Office of the Vice President – Cagayan Valley Satellite Office (OVP-CAVSO) distributed PagbaBAGo Bags to students in Ifugao, bringing joy to classrooms and making learning more accessible and meaningful for the province’s young learners.
This support is such a big help for us. You can see it in the faces of the children, so happy and excited as they received their bags.)
This was the statement of Teacher Myrna Humiwat of Sanafe Elementary School after the Office of the Vice President-Cagayan Valley Satellite Office (OVP-CAVSO) handed out PagbaBAGo bags to Ifugao students, turning school days brighter and learning easier for the province’s young learners.
As part of the PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners Campaign, a total of 193 students from Sanafe Elementary School received PagbaBAGo bags filled with essential school supplies, dental kits, and raincoats.
Humiwat added that the assistance directly addressed one of the primary challenges faced by their students’ lack of school materials: “Mahihirapan talaga so minsan nanggagaling po sa mga guro ‘yung mga lapis nila or kaya ‘yung mga nawawalan ng papel. Minsan pino-provide naman ng MOOE namin,” (It’s really difficult sometimes because the pencils even the papers often come from us teachers. At times, we use our school’s MOOE funds to provide supplies like bond paper or colored paper.)
Based on OVP-CAVSO data, more than 1,600 students from the province of Ifugao have already benefited from the program as of September 2025, including the latest batch in Sanafe Elementary School.
OVP emphasized its mission to expand the reach of the PagbaBAGo Campaign to more areas within the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), ensuring that more children will have access to the educational tools and support they need.
Through these initiatives, the OVP reaffirms its commitment to uplifting the youth by investing in their education and well-being—an effort aimed at empowering communities and shaping a brighter future for the nation.
