The Office of the Vice President - Southern Mindanao Satellite Office (OVP-SMSO) has successfully visited more than a hundred schools wherein they distributed a total of 18,180 “PagbaBAGo bags” across various parts of Mindanao last year.
Most of these schools are in remote and underserved areas.
Among the schools visited were Digkilaan, Suminanap, and Mandalawat Elementary Schools in the province of Misamis Oriental. The OVP-SMSO also reached out to Indigenous Peoples (IP) schools such as Aligodon Higaonon Tulogan Nauhanan in Misamis Oriental and Balugtu Ta Kalapat in the province of Bukidnon.
The OVP-SMSO prioritized visits to Madrasah schools as well. In August, the office visited Madrasah Darul Haqq Al-Islamiy and Mahad Basirol Ekid Al-Islamiy located in Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental. Additionally, Madrasah Nurol Islam and Madrasah Andog Al Islamie in Malapatan, Sarangani Province were also part of their itinerary.
Special needs education schools were not overlooked by the OVP-SMSO as they visited schools such as Tugbok, Bolton, and Mintal Elementary Schools in Davao City.
The office also made their way to schools in North Cotabato, including Inamong, Banawa, and Tulunan Elementary Schools.
In Cagayan de Oro, the OVP-SMSO distributed "Pagbabago Bags" to schools like Kamawakan Elementary School, Balongkot, and Camansi Integrated School.
The farthest place the office had visited was the schools in Balut Island, Sarangani, Davao Occidental namely, Mabila Elementary School, Tinina Elementary School, Guillerma A. Olarte Elementary School, Angel Olarte Elementary School, Tucal Elementary School, Pulabato Elementary School, Kababa Elementary School and Tagen Elementary School.
Meanwhile, the most bags distributed was in the month of September wherein they distributed a total of 6,624 bags to the schools in SNED Davao City, Balut Island, Davao Occidental and Madrasah Schools in Malapatan, Sarangani Province.
This initiative by the OVP-SMSO highlights their commitment in supporting education and providing necessary resources to students in remote and underserved areas of Mindanao.
Matagumpay na nakapamahagi ng 18,180 “Pagbabago Bags” ang Office of the Vice President - Southern Mindanao Satellite Office (OVP-SMSO) sa mahigit 100 paaralan sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng Mindanao noong nakaraang taon.
Karamihan sa mga paaralang binisita ay matatagpuan sa mga liblib at malalayong lugar.
Kabilang sa mga paaralang binisita ang Digkilaan, Suminanap, at Mandalawat Elementary Schools sa lalawigan ng Misamis Oriental. Nakipag-ugnayan din ang OVP-SMSO sa mga paaralang para sa mga Katutubong Mamamayan (IP) tulad ng Aligodon Higaonon Tulogan Nauhanan sa Misamis Oriental at Balugtu Ta Kalapat sa Bukidnon.
Binigyan din ng priyoridad ng OVP-SMSO ang mga Madrasah. Noong Agosto, binisita nila ang Madrasah Darul Haqq Al-Islamiy at Mahad Basirol Ekid Al-Islamiy sa Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental. Kasama rin sa kanilang itineraryo ang Madrasah Nurol Islam at Madrasah Andog Al Islamie sa Malapatan, Sarangani Province.
Hindi rin nakaligtaan ng OVP-SMSO ang mga paaralang nagbibigay ng edukasyon sa kabataang may espesyal na pangangailangan sa Tugbok, Bolton, at Mintal Elementary Schools sa Davao City.
Tumungo din ang opisina sa mga paaralan sa North Cotabato, partikular na sa Inamong, Banawa, at Tulunan Elementary Schools.

Itinatampok ng inisyatibong ito ng OVP-SMSO ang kanilang dedikasyon sa pagsuporta sa edukasyon at pagbibigay ng mga pangunahingbpangangailangan ngmga mag-aaral sa mga liblib at malalayong lugar sa Mindanao.
