Teacher Conchita smiles as she express her gratitude for the wheelchair she received from the OVP.
The Office of the Vice President- Cagayan Valley Satellite Office (OVP-CVSO) personally distribute wheelchairs to selected senior citizens in need at the Municipality of Sagada, Mountain Province last January 17.
Among the recipients was 86-year-old retired teacher Conchita Bosaing, who underwent amputation of her legs due to complications from diabetes.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Teacher Conchita expressed her joy upon receiving the wheelchair, as it will now allow her to attend church services once again.
“They will put me in the wheelchair, and they will bring me to the church kase deretso na ‘yan. Deretso ka from the road inside the church. I will ask the priest, our priest to come and bless my wheelchair, before I will use it they will have to bless it,” she cheerfully said.
This initiative is part of the OVP’s continuous efforts to provide support and assistance to marginalized communities, particularly the elderly and persons with disabilities.
Through this, the Office aims to empower beneficiaries, improve their quality of life, and promote inclusivity within society.
