VP Sara consoles the wife of the fallen soldier
Vice President Sara Duterte met with the families of soldiers killed during the March 18 ambush in Maguindanao.
VP Sara expressed her condolences to the bereaved families and vowed to extend assistance to them.
The ambush in Datu Hoffer town in Maguindanao del Sur resulted in the death of Private First-Class Carl Arana, Private Jessie James Corpuz, Private Marvin Dumaguing, and Corporal Crezaldy Espartero.
The Vice President said the soldiers died defending our country from terrorists.
“We extend our condolences to their entire family and extend our commitment to provide support to them no matter what their needs are,” she said.
The Vice President re-emphasized the importance of security, peace, and order in the community, especially in Mindanao.
She said peace, order, and security impact the country's growth and development.
Every Filipino, she said, has an essential role in the fight against terrorism.
Personal na ipinaabot ni Bise Presidente Inday Sara Duterte ang kanyang pakikiramay sa pagpanaw ng apat na sundalo sa nangyaring pananambang sa Barangay Tuayan 1, Datu Hoffer, Maguindanao del Sur kamakailan.
Kinilala ang mga nasawing sundalo na sina Private First- Class Carl Araña, PVT Jessie James Corpuz, PVT Marvin Dumaguing at Corporal Creszaldy Espartero.
Unang dinala ang mga labi ng mga nasawing sundalo sa 6th Infantry Division Headquarters sa Camp Siongco, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
Isa-isang kinausap ni Duterte ang mga naulilang pamilya at pinakinggan ang kanilang hinagpis at suliranin.
Nag-alay din ng dasal ang Bise Presidente sa mga yumaong sundalo.
“Ipanaabot natin ang condolences natin sa buong pamilya nila at ipanaabot natin ang commitment na magbigay ng suporta kung ano man ‘yung mga pangangailangan nila,” ayon kay Inday Sara .
Kaugnay sa nangyari, muling binigyang-diin ng Bise Presidente ang kahalagahan ng security at peace and order sa lipunan lalo na sa isla ng Mindanao.
Binigyang diin ni Inday Sara, “napakahalaga ng security, peace and order sa ating Lipunan dahil ito ang basehan ng development, infrastructure development, at economic development.”
Dagdag ni Inday Sara, sa laban kontra terorismo, kinakailangan ang suporta ng komunidad. Nararapat lang din aniya na magpakita ng suporta ang lokal na pamahalaan sa hanay ng kasundalohan at kapulisan.
