Vice President Sara Z. Duterte extended her warm greetings to Filipino-Chinese communities across the globe in celebration of the Lunar New Year—highlighting the importance of courage, unity, and collective action as the Year of the Fire Horse begins.
“Happy Lunar New Year to our Filipino-Chinese communities around the world! Xin Nian Kuai Le!” VP Duterte said.
Describing the Year of the Fire Horse as a period marked by “high energy and bold action,” VP Sara encouraged Filipinos to embrace new beginnings with courage and determination, noting that the year presents opportunities for significant rewards—particularly for those willing to take decisive steps toward progress.
Moreover, the Vice President underscored the importance of bayanihan—the Filipino spirit of communal unity and cooperation—urging citizens to harness this value as they move forward into a new year filled with possibilities.
“Now is the time to ignite the spirit of bayanihan and charge forward into a new year of possibilities,” VP Duterte added.
Duterte concluded her message with a call for solidarity in nation-building, encouraging Filipinos to work together toward a more progressive and prosperous Philippines for all.
“Magkaisa tayong itaguyod ang isang mas maunlad at masaganang Pilipinas para sa lahat. Gong Xi Fa Cai!” (Let us unite for a more progressive and prosperous Philippines for all. Gong Xi Fa Cai!), she said.
The Vice President also expressed her hope that the year ahead would bring abundance, good health, and peace to every home.

Binigyang-diin din ng Bise Presidente ang kahalagahan ng bayanihan—ang diwa ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ng mga Pilipino—at nanawagan sa lahat na pairalin ito sa pagharap sa panibagong taon.
