Vice President Sara Duterte delivers a heartfelt address during the annual ‘Pasidungog’ ceremony held at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City, honoring individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to public service.
Vice President Sara Z. Duterte led the third annual ‘Pasidungog’ ceremony, where the Office of the Vice President (OVP) recognized individuals, institutions, and organizations that played vital roles in delivering essential services to Filipinos over the past year. The event was held at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City last June 16.
In her keynote address, VP Sara expressed heartfelt gratitude to the OVP’s service partners for their unwavering support and trust, despite the many challenges the institution has faced.
“Unang-una, taos-puso po akong nagpapasalamat sa bawat isa sa inyo na naririto ngayon at sa lahat ng mga kasamahan, kasama, kaagapay, at katuwang ng Office of the Vice President sa paglilingkod sa ating mga kababayan. Saksi ang tanan sa lisod nga kasinatian sa OVP sa milabay nga mga bulan. Naging mas mapanghamon ang pagpapatakbo namin ng mga programa na ang pakay ay pagbibigay ng solusyon sa ilang mga pangunahing suliranin ng mga Pilipino. Ngunit ang mga batikos at sistematikong atake laban sa OVP ay hindi naging sapat para tayo ay humina, huminto, at mabigo. The intention to weaken and frustrate us from serving the Filipinos failed. Patunay ang ating pagtitipon ngayon sa tagumpay ng ating pagsisikap para sa mga Pilipino at minamahal nating bansa,” (First and foremost, I sincerely thank each one of you who are here today and all our colleagues, companions, and partners who have stood by the Office of the Vice President in serving the Filipino people. Everyone has witnessed the difficult circumstances the OVP endured in the past months. Implementing our programs—meant to provide solutions to key problems of the Filipino people—has become more challenging. But the criticisms and systematic attacks against the OVP were not enough to weaken, stop, or defeat us. The intention to frustrate our service failed. Today’s gathering is proof of the success of our continued efforts for our people and our beloved nation.)
A total of 1,142 partners were honored during the event for their invaluable contributions in supporting and implementing the Office of the Vice President’s flagship programs and initiatives.
These include the Medical and Burial Assistance Program, which provides aid to families facing medical emergencies and funeral expenses; Disaster Relief Operations, offering immediate support to communities affected by natural calamities; and the Relief for Individuals and Indigents in Crises and Emergencies (RIICE), which extends essential aid to vulnerable sectors.
Also recognized were those who helped advance programs such as Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day, which empowers small-scale entrepreneurs; PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees Campaign, which promotes education and environmental stewardship; the PanSarap Project, aimed at improving nutrition; the Libreng Sakay Program, which offers free transportation services; and the You Can Be VP Youth Engagement Program, designed to inspire and develop future leaders among the youth.
These efforts reflect the OVP’s ongoing commitment to uplift the lives of Filipinos across different sectors and regions—providing immediate aid in times of need, empowering grassroots entrepreneurship, and championing inclusive education and sustainability campaigns.
The successful staging of Pasidungog 2025 not only marked another milestone in the OVP’s public service journey but also strengthened its partnerships with civic, private, and government stakeholders who continue to stand alongside the institution in its mission to serve with compassion, integrity, and resilience.

Pinangunahan ni Vice President Sara Z. Duterte ang ikatlong taunang “Pasidungog” kung saan kinilala ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) ang mga indibidwal, institusyon, at organisasyong naging katuwang sa paghahatid ng mahahalagang serbisyo sa mga Pilipino sa nakalipas na taon. Isinagawa ang programa sa SMX Convention Center sa Lungsod ng Davao noong Hunyo 16.
Sa kanyang talumpati, ipinaabot ni VP Sara ang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa mga katuwang ng OVP sa serbisyo para sa kanilang patuloy na suporta at tiwala sa kabila ng mga pagsubok na kinaharap ng ahensya.
