Vice President Sara Z. Duterte visited Daraga, Albay, where she led a tree planting activity and personally met with new beneficiaries of the Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day (MTD) program.
The Vice President spearheaded the planting of 1,000 kamagong and baligang seedlings in Barangay Tabon-Tabon, together with personnel from the Office of the Vice President (OVP) Bicol Satellite Office, officials of the Local Government of Daraga, and partner agencies.
Following the activity, VP Duterte checked on three of the most recent MTD grantees in the province.
Each beneficiary received P15,000 seed capital to jumpstart their chosen livelihood ventures, which include a salon, arts and crafts shop, and accessory selling businesses.
The MTD program, one of the flagship initiatives of the OVP under the leadership of VP Duterte that aims to address unemployment and provide Filipinos with opportunities to establish their own sustainable sources of income.
The program is open to all sectors, offering a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to start small businesses and improve their livelihood.
