In a video message, Duterte expressed solidarity with the global Muslim Ummah, including Filipinos living and working abroad, particularly in the Middle East.
“As you mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, we celebrate a journey defined by prayer, sacrifice, and deep spiritual reflection,” Duterte said, commending the discipline and devotion demonstrated by Muslims during the fasting period.
The Vice President also recognized the vital role of Filipino Muslims and overseas workers, noting that their resilience and hard work continue to be a source of pride for the nation. She underscored the importance of compassion, charity, and unity—values deeply rooted in the observance of Ramadan.
Duterte further called for global peace and inclusivity, expressing hope that the lessons learned during Ramadan would inspire collective action toward building a safer and more harmonious world.
“As we celebrate this time of joy and thanksgiving, we also offer a fervent prayer for peace across the world,” she said. “May the lessons of Ramadan inspire us to work together toward a global community that is inclusive, safe, and anchored in the pursuit of the common good.”
She concluded her message with well wishes for Muslim families, expressing hope that their homes would be filled with peace and their hearts with the blessings of Allah as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
